Salt & Pepper Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized thin-cut boneless pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch, mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for marinade)
  • 1 large jalapeño pepper, diced (seeds removed)
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for cooking)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions:

  • Begin by tenderizing the boneless pork chops. Pound both sides and cut them into 2-3 inch pieces.
  • In a bowl, marinate the pork chops with soy sauce, a mixture of cornstarch and water, and oil. Allow them to marinate for a few hours.
  • Dice the jalapeño pepper (remove seeds), yellow onion, and red bell pepper. Set aside.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 300˚F. Cook the marinated pork chops for 12 minutes, then increase the temperature to 400˚F and cook for an additional 6 minutes. Flip them over halfway through the cooking time.
  • In a pan over low heat, add oil and minced garlic. Then, add the diced onions and peppers and cook for a minute.
  • Increase the heat to medium and add the cooked pork chops to the pan.
  • Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and white pepper powder over the pork chops.
  • Finish by adding sesame oil. The Salt & Pepper Pork Chops are now ready to be served. Enjoy!
