Beef Pan Fried Noodles
Beef Pan Fried Noodles
Ingredients:
- 8 oz sirloin beef, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce (for beef marinade)
- 1 tsp sugar (for beef marinade)
- 1/2 tsp white pepper powder (for beef marinade)
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch (for beef marinade)
- 1 Tbsp oil (for beef marinade, plus additional for cooking)
- 2 cups green cabbage, chopped
- 2 cups broccoli, chopped
- 1 cup carrot, sliced
- 2 portions of dry egg noodles
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce (for stir-fry)
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar (for stir-fry)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Cornstarch mixed with water (for thickening)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
- Slice 8 oz of sirloin beef into thin strips.
- In a bowl, marinate the beef with 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp white pepper powder, 1 Tbsp cornstarch, and 1 Tbsp oil. Allow it to marinate for a few hours.
- Cut green cabbage, broccoli, and carrot into small pieces. Set aside.
- Boil 2 portions of dry egg noodles until soft (approximately 2-3 minutes), then rinse with cold water and drain them dry.
- Heat a pan over medium heat with 3 Tbsp of oil. Add the noodles without stirring, cooking until crispy and golden brown on each side. Remove the noodles and drain excess oil.
- In the same pan, add 1 Tbsp of oil and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic.
- Stir-fry the marinated beef over medium heat for about 2 minutes, then add all the cut vegetables.
- Add 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp dark soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, and 1 cup of chicken broth. Continue cooking for a few more minutes.
- Thicken the sauce by adding a mixture of cornstarch and water.
- Finish by adding 1 tsp of sesame oil.
