Japanese Dynamite Mussels (Modified Version)

Ingredients:
8 pieces of green mussels (frozen package), cleaned with cold water

Dynamite Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons Kewpie mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon Sriracha sauce

Toppings:

  • Sesame seeds
  • Scallions, finely chopped

Instructions:

  • Preheat the air-fryer to 350˚F.
  • In a bowl, combine Kewpie mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, fresh lemon juice, and Sriracha sauce to create the dynamite sauce.
  • Coat each cleaned green mussel generously with the dynamite sauce.
  • Place the sauced mussels in the preheated air-fryer and cook at 350˚F for 7 minutes.
  • Increase the temperature to 400˚F and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes to achieve a golden and crispy texture.
  • Once done, remove the mussels from the air-fryer and transfer them to a serving platter.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and finely chopped scallions on top of the mussels for added flavor and presentation.
