Sautéed Chicken in Teriyaki Sauce
Sautéed Chicken in Teriyaki Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon cooking wine
- 4 tablespoons ready-made teriyaki sauce (Japanese BBQ sauce)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Begin by slicing the 2 chicken breasts into thin slices.
- In a bowl, marinate the sliced chicken with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Allow the chicken to marinate for a few hours, if possible, to infuse the flavors.
- Heat a medium-sized pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic.
- Once the oil is hot and the garlic is fragrant, add the marinated chicken slices to the pan. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Pour in 1 tablespoon of cooking wine and continue to stir-fry for another minute to enhance the flavors.
- Add 4 tablespoons of ready-made teriyaki sauce (Japanese BBQ sauce) to the pan. Mix the sauce well with the chicken and continue to cook for an additional minute.
- Drizzle 1 teaspoon of sesame oil over the chicken and stir it in for that signature teriyaki flavor.
- To finish, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds over the top of the dish for added texture and flavor.
- Your delicious Sautéed Teriyaki Chicken is now ready to serve.
