Shrimp With Lobster Sauce
Shrimp With Lobster Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Pinch of salt and pepper (for seasoning)
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, divided
- 1 tablespoon of sliced ginger
- 1 tablespoon of sliced garlic
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- Salt, to taste (if needed)
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 2 egg whites, beaten
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions:
- Start by preparing the shrimp. Peel and devein them, then season with salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Set aside.
- Heat a medium-sized pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil with sliced gingers and garlic.
- Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned shrimp to the pan. Sear the shrimp for about 20 seconds on each side until they turn pink and slightly opaque.
- In the same pan, add the chicken broth and the frozen mixed vegetables.
- Bring the chicken broth to a boil, add salt and white pepper powder to taste.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into the pan to thicken the broth, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
- Gently pour the beaten egg whites over the surface of the broth, creating a thin layer. Slightly stir the eggs to incorporate them into the dish.
- Finally, add the sesame oil to enhance the flavor of the dish. Your Shrimp with Lobster Sauce is now ready to serve. Enjoy!
