๐Ÿ’ก The power of interview feedback ๐Ÿ’ก

Something I get told daily by candidates in the Architecture & Design industry is the lack of effective communication post interview from the hiring client.

Interview feedback is ๐˜ค๐˜ณ๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ช๐˜ข๐˜ญ during the hiring process for a number of reasons!

Providing feedback to candidates helps clients refine their selection process. Constructive feedback can reveal areas where the interview process may be falling short

Providing timely feedback can help them understand where they fell short and what they can improve upon for future opportunities.

When clients provide feedback, they show that they value the time and effort candidates put into preparing for interviews. This fosters trust and goodwill, making candidates more likely to consider future opportunities with the business. As well as positive word-of-mouth recommendations!

Feedback from candidates can provide valuable insights into how well the interview process aligns with the organization's values and expectations.

Encouraging feedback from candidates, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, can help identify any biases or barriers in the interview process. This can lead to more inclusive hiring practices and a diverse workforce.

Providing feedback fosters a culture of communication and professionalism between clients and candidates, which can lead to better working relationships.

Clients can use feedback from candidates to continuously improve their hiring processes, making them more efficient and effective. This continuous improvement can help organizations stay competitive in the job market.

Feedback is a two-way street in the hiring process. While clients often expect candidates to be open to feedback, they should also be willing to provide it!
