Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings

Ingredients for Marinating Chicken Wings:

  • 8 medium-sized chicken wings, separated into drumettes and wingettes, tips removed
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cooking wine

Ingredients for Stir-Frying:

  • 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup diced yellow onion
  • 6 cups oil (for deep-fry)
  • 4-6 tablespoons cornstarch (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon oil (for stir-frying)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped jalapeño pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper powder

Instructions:

  • Begin by preparing the chicken wings. Separate them into drumettes and wingettes, removing the tips.
  • In a bowl, marinate the chicken wings with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of white pepper powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon of cooking wine. Allow them to marinate for one hour.
  • Dice half a cup each of red bell pepper, green bell pepper, red onion, and yellow onion. Set them aside.
  • Heat a pot with cooking oil (about 2 inches deep) over medium heat for deep frying.
  • Add 4-6 tablespoons of cornstarch to the marinated chicken wings, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  • Deep fry the chicken wings in the hot oil until they turn crispy and golden brown, which should take approximately 6-7 minutes. Once done, set the chicken wings aside.
  • In a separate cooking pan, heat 1 teaspoon of oil over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of chopped jalapeño pepper.
  • Add the diced red and green bell peppers, red onion, and yellow onion. Pan fry them until they turn golden brown.
  • Return the deep-fried chicken wings to the pan.
  • Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of white pepper powder over the chicken wings.
  • Mix everything well, ensuring the chicken wings are evenly coated with the seasonings.
  • Your Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings is now ready to serve. Enjoy!
