This is the - British Amateur Radio Teledata Group - News Broadcast Service for all Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners interested in RTTY Amtor, Pactor and Packet Radio.

This news is broadcast during the first full week commencing Monday each month, to the following schedule..

Evening transmissions at 20:00 U.K. local time on 3.584 MHz. Mark.
RTTY on Monday-AFSK, Wednesday-AFSK and Friday-FSK.
Pactor-FEC on Tuesday.
Amtor-FEC on Thursday and Saturday.

Morning transmission at 10:00 U.K. local time on 7.041 MHz. Mark.
RTTY on Sunday-FSK.

Both frequencies could be +/- for QRM.

BARTG Information.
BARTG are proud to announce that their "New Improved Multyterm" Terminal Unit for Pactor, Amtor, RTTY, SSTV, CW and FAX has just passed the rigorous EMC testing in compliance with the EEC Standard EN 50082-1:1993. BARTG is an Amateur Radio Club and is believed to be the first to have obtained compliance to the EEC EMC standard which applies to Residential Environment. Contests.
The Spanish EA-RTTY Contest starts 1600 April 1 until 1600 April 2 on all 5 HF bands 80 through 10 meters according to IARU band plans. (Please note revised date for this contest.)

Classification:

  • A) Single Operator All Band.
  • B) Single Operator Single Band.
  • C) Multi-Operator All Band only.
  • D) Short Wave Listener.

Exchange Message:
RST plus CQ zone number.
EA stations send RST plus *Prefijo Provincial* and CQ zone number.
There are 52 Spanish *Prefijos Provinciales*

QSO Points:
On 10, 15 and 20 meter bands, score one point for QSO within own continent.
Score two points for QSO outside own continent.
On 40 and 80 meter bands, score three points for QSO within own continent.
Score six points for QSO outside own continent.
Contacts between stations in the same DXCC country are valid for Multiplier credit, but have Zero QSO points value.

Multipliers:
On each band, count one multiplier point for each CQ zone and each Spanish Province (*Prefijo Provincial*).

Final Score:
Total QSO points from all bands times total Multipliers from all bands.

Trophies:
Award and plate to winner in Class A).
Award to winners in Class B), C) and D).

Logs:
Use separate log sheet for each band. Include Summary Sheet showing, Scoring and other essential information. Official Log forms are recommended. Mailing deadline for all entries is May 5th 1995. Send completed logs to:

J20UFT was operating from Maskali Island in the Gulf of Aden. IOTA AF-053

South Shetland Isl. (DP1). RTTY activity is now reported from February 6 at 0030z on 14 MHz. QSL via DD6UAB.

Conway Reef (3D2). Plans to activate this one from March 24 until April 3 using all bands and modes. QSL RTTY contacts to SM7PKK.

Spratly Isl. (DU0). A team from the Philippines A.R.A. plan to run all bands and modes from April 10 to 16. QSL via DU9RG.
