This is the - British Amateur Radio Teledata Group - News Broadcast Service for all Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners interested in RTTY Amtor, Pactor and Packet Radio.

This news is broadcast during the first full week commencing Monday each month, to the following schedule..

Evening transmissions at 20:00 U.K. local time on 3.584 MHz. Mark.
RTTY on Monday-AFSK, Wednesday-AFSK and Friday-FSK.
Pactor-FEC on Tuesday.
Amtor-FEC on Thursday and Saturday.

Morning transmission at 10:00 U.K. local time on 7.041 MHz. Mark.
RTTY on Sunday-FSK.

Both frequencies could be +/- for QRM.

Contests.
The Troy Amateur Radio Association (TARA) run their annual RTTY Sprint from 2100 UTC. December 10 until 0100 UTC. December 11. Work stations once per band. One point per QSO. States and DXCC countries are multipliers. All 5 HF bands 10 - 15 - 20 - 40 - 80.
Logs must be submitted by January 17 to: Bill Eddy, NY2U, C/O TARA, 2204 2nd Street, Troy, New York 12180.

Notes of interest.
Ghana 9G. A second group of central Arizona DX Association members and friends from the UK will be in Ghana from November 20-30. They plan to operate a multi-multi effort in the CQ-WW CW contest.
Outside the contest they will be active all bands with CW and some RTTY. QSL their home calls.

Indian Ocean. 5 Operators from Japan will be visiting several rare locations between October 23 and November 20. They hope to be QRV from 3B6, D68, FR, FH and 5R8. with SSB, CW and RTTY.

Thailand HS. Reiner DL2VK will be in Thailand for approximately 6 months signing HS0/DL2VK. He operates mostly CW but plans to use some Packet, Amtor and Pactor.

VE8RCS is the call sign of the station at Alert, Ellesmere Island, located 450 miles from the North Pole in CQ zone 2.

V47WK was on IOTA NA-110.

U.A.E. A6. Don, WB2DND will be in Dubai from November 11-16. Look for him using RTTY on 14090 at 1300z.

South Shetland Isl. VP8. The International RTTY DX Association (IRDXA) has donated a Hal RTTY Terminal for the use of HF0POL, the Polish Antarctic expedition base on King George Island in the South Shetland group. The new HF0POL operator is Andy Grotha, SP2GOW who has been schooled for RTTY by Wald, SP4KM. It may be several months before Andy gets to the base and appears on the keys. KYFC.

Uganda 5X. Paul, WF5T will be in Uganda during the month of November. He will sign 5X1XT and uses both CW and RTTY. QSL to WF5T
