Stir-Fry Pork with Potatoes (薯仔炒肉片)
Marinade Ingredients:
- 8 oz pork sirloin, sliced
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- Pinch of white pepper powder
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp oil
Cooking Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes, cut into strips
- 1 carrot, cut into strips
- 3 scallions, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the sliced pork, soy sauce, white pepper powder, cornstarch, and oil. Mix well and marinate for a few hours.
- In the meantime, prepare the vegetables by cutting the potatoes and carrot into strips. Set them aside. Also, cut the scallions into 2-inch pieces and set them aside separately.
- Heat a cooking pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the marinated pork to the pan and stir-fry for a few minutes until it turns slightly brown.
- Add the cut potatoes and carrot to the pan and mix well with the pork.
- Pour in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 cup of chicken broth. Stir everything together.
- Continue cooking until the potatoes turn soft, which usually takes around 5-7 minutes.
- Increase the heat to high to reduce the sauce. Once the sauce has thickened, add the cut scallions and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Mix everything well.
- Your Stir-Fry Pork with Potatoes is now ready to be served. Enjoy!
