Beef Mushroom Stir Fry (蘑菇炒牛肉)
Marinate Ingredients:
* 8 oz beef sirloin, sliced
* 1 Tbsp soy sauce
* Pinch of white pepper powder
* 1 Tbsp cornstarch, mixed with water
* 1 Tbsp oil
Cooking Ingredients:
* 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
* 1 cup carrot, sliced
* 3 cups Napa cabbage, sliced
* 1 Tbsp oil
* 1 Tbsp minced garlic
* 1 Tbsp cooking wine
* 1 Tbsp soy sauce
* 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
* 2 Tbsp chicken broth
* Cornstarch, mixed with water (for thickening the sauce)
* 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
* In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, white pepper powder, cornstarch mixture, and oil.
* Mix well until the beef is evenly coated.
* Set aside and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
* Heat a cooking pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil.
* Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
* Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until it reaches medium doneness.
* Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
* In the same pan, add the sliced mushrooms, carrots, and Napa cabbage.
* Stir-fry the vegetables for a few minutes.
* Pour in the cooking wine and continue to stir-fry for a few more minutes.
* Add the cooked beef back to the pan.
* Drizzle in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chicken broth.
* Cook for an additional minute to allow the flavors to blend.
* In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
* Pour the cornstarch mixture into the pan to thicken the sauce.
* Stir well to evenly distribute the thickened sauce.
* Remove from heat and drizzle sesame oil over the stir fry.
* Your Beef Mushroom Stir Fry is now ready to be served.
