Beef and Tomato Stir-Fry

Marinating Ingredients:

  • 8 oz beef sirloin, sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp oil

Cooking Ingredients:

  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 scallions, cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cooking wine
  • Pinch of white pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp chicken broth
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Start by cutting the beef sirloin into thin slices.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of black pepper, 1 tbsp of cornstarch, and 1 tbsp of oil. Mix well to ensure the beef is coated evenly. Allow it to marinate for a few hours.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables. Slice the yellow onion, dice the tomatoes, and cut the scallions into pieces. Set them aside.
  4. Heat a cooking pan over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of oil.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry for a few minutes until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  7. Next, add the sliced onions and diced tomatoes to the pan with the beef. Stir-fry for a couple of minutes.
  8. Pour in 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of cooking wine, a pinch of white pepper powder, and 1 tbsp of chicken broth. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  9. Continue cooking until the tomatoes soften, which should take around 3-5 minutes.
  10. Finally, add the cut scallions to the pan and mix everything well.
  11. Drizzle 1 tsp of sesame oil over the stir-fry and give it a final stir.
  12. Your delicious beef and tomato stir-fry is now ready to be served.
