Beef and Tomato Stir-Fry
Marinating Ingredients:
- 8 oz beef sirloin, sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp oil
Cooking Ingredients:
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 3 scallions, cut into pieces
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- Pinch of white pepper powder
- 1 tbsp chicken broth
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
- Start by cutting the beef sirloin into thin slices.
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of black pepper, 1 tbsp of cornstarch, and 1 tbsp of oil. Mix well to ensure the beef is coated evenly. Allow it to marinate for a few hours.
- While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables. Slice the yellow onion, dice the tomatoes, and cut the scallions into pieces. Set them aside.
- Heat a cooking pan over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of oil.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry for a few minutes until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Next, add the sliced onions and diced tomatoes to the pan with the beef. Stir-fry for a couple of minutes.
- Pour in 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of cooking wine, a pinch of white pepper powder, and 1 tbsp of chicken broth. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Continue cooking until the tomatoes soften, which should take around 3-5 minutes.
- Finally, add the cut scallions to the pan and mix everything well.
- Drizzle 1 tsp of sesame oil over the stir-fry and give it a final stir.
- Your delicious beef and tomato stir-fry is now ready to be served.
