Roasted Pork Belly
Roasted Pork Belly
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of pork belly (with skin)
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of white pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon of five spice powder
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar
- Thick layer of sea salt
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the salt, white pepper powder, five spice powder, and sugar.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork belly meat (not the skin).
- Poke the pork skin with a fork and brush a layer of vinegar. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the air-fryer to 350°F.
- Wrap the meat portion with aluminum foil paper and place it in the air-fryer.
- Cover the pork skin with a thick layer of sea salt.
- Air-fry the pork belly at 350°F for 20 minutes.
- Remove the pork belly from the air-fryer, discard the layer of sea salt and aluminum foil paper.
- Increase the air-fryer temperature to 400°F and put the pork belly back in for another 10 minutes.
- Remove the pork belly from the air-fryer and let it cool off.
- Cut the pork belly into small pieces and serve. Enjoy!
