Shrimp Udon Stir Fry
Shrimp Udon Stir Fry
Marinating Ingredients:
- 8 pieces of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tsp of cornstarch
- 1 tsp of oil
Cooking Ingredients:
- 1/2 yellow onion, sliced into strips
- 1 carrot, sliced into strips
- 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 2 tbsp oil, divided
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- Udon noodles
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
- In a bowl, season the shrimp with a pinch of salt and pepper, cornstarch and oil. Set aside.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of oil and minced garlic.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until golden brown on each side (about 1 minute per side). Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add another 1 tbsp of oil and then add udon noodles and the sliced vegetables (onion, carrot, green bell pepper, red bell pepper).
- Stir-fry the noodles and vegetables for a few minutes until they start to soften.
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar to the pan. Continue to stir-fry for another minute.
- Add the cooked shrimp back to the pan and stir-fry for an additional minute.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the top of the stir-fry and give it a final toss.
