Sizzling Steak with Black Pepper Sauce
Sizzling Steak with Black Pepper Sauce
Marinating Ingredients:
- 20 oz ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch thick chunks
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp oil
Cooking Ingredients:
- 2 yellow onions, cut into strips
- 4 scallions, cut into strips
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 Tbsp oil, divided
Instructions:
- In a bowl, marinate the ribeye steak chunks with soy sauce, white pepper powder, cornstarch, and oil. Mix well to ensure the steak is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, black pepper, and water. Stir well to create the black pepper sauce. Set aside.
- Heat a cooking pan over medium heat and add 1 teaspoon of oil. Add the yellow onions and scallions, and cook until they turn brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil. Add the marinated steak and cook slowly to brown on each side. This should take about 8 minutes. Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the pan.
- Pour the black pepper sauce into the pan and bring it to a boil. Add the cooked steak back into the pan and coat it with the sauce. Cook for another minute to heat everything through.
- Meanwhile, heat up an iron cast plate. Spray or spread some oil on the surface of the plate. Place the cooked onions on the plate, and then place the steak with black pepper sauce on top.
- Serve the sizzling steak immediately while it's still hot. Enjoy the flavorful dish with your favorite side dishes or steamed rice.
Note: The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the steak and desired doneness. Adjust accordingly for your preferences.
