Seared Scallops with Garlic

Marinating Ingredients:

  • 10 pieces of sea scallops, rinsed with salt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp oil

Cooking Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 tbsp chicken broth
  • Baby spinach, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the sea scallops with salt and dry them with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, marinate the scallops with salt, white pepper powder, cornstarch, and oil for a few hours.
  3. Heat a cooking pan over medium-low heat with oil and minced garlic.
  4. Pan-fry the scallops until they turn golden brown on both sides, which takes about 2-3 minutes each side.
  5. Add cooking wine and chicken broth to the pan and continue cooking until well done.
  6. Place some baby spinach on a serving plate and put the scallops on top of the spinach.
  7. Your Pan-Fried Scallops with Garlic is now ready to be served.
