Seared Scallops with Garlic
Marinating Ingredients:
- 10 pieces of sea scallops, rinsed with salt
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp oil
Cooking Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp chicken broth
- Baby spinach, for serving
Instructions:
- Rinse the sea scallops with salt and dry them with paper towels.
- In a bowl, marinate the scallops with salt, white pepper powder, cornstarch, and oil for a few hours.
- Heat a cooking pan over medium-low heat with oil and minced garlic.
- Pan-fry the scallops until they turn golden brown on both sides, which takes about 2-3 minutes each side.
- Add cooking wine and chicken broth to the pan and continue cooking until well done.
- Place some baby spinach on a serving plate and put the scallops on top of the spinach.
