Spicy Garlic Tofu Puff
Spicy Garlic Tofu Puff
Ingredients:
- 1 package of tofu puff
- 2 tbsp oil (divided)
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped red chili pepper
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Chopped scallions for garnish
Instructions:
- Cut the tofu puff in half and set it aside.
- Heat a cooking pan over medium heat and add 1 tbsp of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the tofu puff and cook until it turns golden brown on both sides. Take it out of the pan and set it aside.
- In the same pan, add 1 tsp of oil and then add minced garlic and chopped red chili pepper. Sauté for a minute or until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and white pepper powder to the pan. Bring to a boil and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix cornstarch with water to form a slurry. Add it to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Add the tofu puff back to the pan and mix it with the sauce until it's well coated. Drizzle sesame oil over the top.
- Garnish with chopped scallions and serve hot. Enjoy your spicy garlic tofu puff!
