Beef Stir-Fry with Napa Cabbage
Marinating Ingredients:
- 8 oz sirloin beef, sliced
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp oil
Cooking Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 4 cups Napa cabbage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- Pinch of white pepper powder
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp hot chili sauce (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
- Cut the sirloin beef into slices.
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sugar, white pepper powder, cornstarch mixed with water, and oil. Add the sliced beef and mix well. Let it marinate for a few hours.
- Cut the Napa cabbage and carrots into 1-inch pieces.
- Heat a pan over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of oil and minced garlic.
- Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for a few minutes, then add cooking wine and remove from the pan.
- In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil, then add the cut Napa cabbage and carrots.
- Stir-fry the vegetables for a few minutes, then add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, white pepper powder, chicken broth, and hot chili sauce (optional).
- Cook until the vegetables are soft, then add the beef back into the pan.
- Mix cornstarch with water and add it to the pan to thicken the sauce.
- Add sesame oil, give it a final stir, and your Beef Stir-Fry with Napa Cabbage is ready to serve. Enjoy!
