Minced Beef with Tomato 番茄免治牛肉
Ingredients:
- 1.3 pounds of ground beef
- 1 large yellow onion
- 1 Tbsp of minced garlic
- 1 can of diced tomato
- 1 cup of frozen green peas and carrots
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp of ketchup
- 2 Tbsp of cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp of oil
- 1 tsp of black pepper
- 1 tsp of white pepper powder
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions:
In a bowl, marinate the ground beef with soy sauce, white pepper powder, black pepper, cornstarch, and oil for a few hours.
Chop the onion into dices and set aside.
In a medium heat cooking pan, add oil and minced garlic.
Add the chopped onion and cook for a few minutes until it turns translucent. Then, add the can of diced tomato and cook until it boils.
Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir well.
Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and black pepper. Mix well and continue to cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
Add the frozen green peas and carrots and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with some water to create a slurry. Add it to the pan and stir well until the sauce thickens. Add salt to taste.
Serve the minced beef with tomato over a bed of rice, garnish with some chopped green onions if desired.
