Sautéed Green Beans

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds green beans, ends trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh red chili pepper
  • 3-4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the green beans by trimming the ends and cutting them into 2-inch pieces.
  2. Mince the garlic, ginger, and chop the fresh red chili pepper. Set aside.
  3. Heat a cooking pan over medium heat with 3-4 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the green beans and deep fry until they turn soft (around 4-5 minutes).
  4. Remove the green beans from the cooking pan and let them sit on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  5. Remove the remaining oil from the cooking pan. Add the minced garlic, ginger, and chopped chili pepper. Stir fry for a minute, then add the green beans.
  6. Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of white pepper powder, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Sauté for a minute.
  7. Add 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and stir.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
