Sautéed Chicken with Spicy Black Bean Sauce
Ingredients:
- 2 chicken thighs
- 2 chicken wings
- 1.5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1 yellow onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1.5 Tbsp spicy black bean sauce
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken thighs and wings into medium-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix together 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, 1 tsp white pepper powder, 1 Tbsp cornstarch, and 1 Tbsp oil. Add the chicken to the marinade and let it sit for a few hours.
- Cut the onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper into square pieces and set aside.
- Heat a pan over low heat with 1 Tbsp of oil and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic. Add 1.5 Tbsp of spicy black bean sauce and stir for a minute.
- Turn the heat to medium and add the chicken to the pan. Stir fry until the chicken is cooked (around 6-8 minutes), then add the cut onion and bell peppers.
- Add 1 tsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of dark soy sauce, 1 tsp of sugar, and 1/2 cup of chicken broth. Continue cooking for 3-5 more minutes.
- Add a cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce.
- Add 1 tsp of sesame oil and serve. Enjoy!
