Fish Fillets in Orange Sauce
Ingredients:
- Fish fillets, cut into thin slices
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- Eggs, beaten
- Cornstarch for coating
- Cooking oil for frying
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1.5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp chopped ginger
- 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
- Cornstarch mixed with water for thickening
Instructions:
- Cut the fish fillets into thin slices.
- Season with 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of white pepper powder.
- Coat the fish with a layer of beaten eggs and then a layer of cornstarch.
- Air-fry the fish at 380˚F for 15 minutes, then 400˚F for 4 minutes. If not using an air-fryer, deep-fry the fish fillets in medium heat until golden brown (4~5 minutes).
- Once the fish is cooked, set it aside.
- In a medium heat cooking pan, add 1 cup of orange juice, 1/3 cup of sugar, 2 Tbsp of rice vinegar, 1.5 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1/2 Tbsp of chopped ginger, and 1/2 Tbsp of minced garlic.
- Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the orange sauce.
- Pour the orange sauce on top of the cooked fish fillets. Ready to serve.
