Sautéed Beef and Shrimp with Broccoli

Sautéed Beef and Shrimp with Broccoli
Ingredients:
- 6-8 oz sirloin beef, sliced
- 10 pieces of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 5 shiitake mushrooms, soaked in water until soft and cut in half
- 3 cups of broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup of carrot, sliced
- 2 Tbsp of oil
- 1 Tbsp of soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp of white pepper powder
- 1.5 Tbsp of cornstarch
- Pinch of salt
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- Few slices of ginger
- 1.5 Tbsp of oyster sauce
- Pinch of white pepper
- 1.5 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tsp of sesame oil
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix together the sliced beef, 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1/2 tsp of white pepper powder, 1 Tbsp of cornstarch, and 1 Tbsp of oil. Set aside and marinate for a few hours.
- In another bowl, mix together the peeled and deveined shrimp, a pinch of salt and white pepper powder, 1/2 Tbsp of cornstarch, and 1 Tbsp of oil. Set aside.
- Cut the broccoli and carrot into bite-sized pieces. Boil them in hot water for a minute and then set aside.
- Heat a cooking pan over medium heat with 1 Tbsp of oil and a few slices of ginger. Add the marinated shrimp and cook until golden brown. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
- In the same cooking pan, add 1 Tbsp of oil and 4 cloves of minced garlic. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Then add the shiitake mushroom, broccoli and carrot.
- Add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1.5 Tbsp of oyster sauce, a pinch of white pepper, and 1.5 cups of chicken broth. Continue to cook for additional 3-5 minutes.
- Add the cooked shrimp to the pan and mix well. Then add the cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce.
- Finally, add 1 tsp of sesame oil and give it a quick stir. Your Sautéed Beef and Shrimp with Broccoli is now ready to be served. Enjoy!
