Minced Pork Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of minced pork (prefer 80 lean/20 fat)
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp white pepper powder
- 3 Tbsp chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 12 large Napa Cabbage leaves
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 2 Tbsp water
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with water
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, season minced pork with soy sauce, oyster sauce, minced ginger, white pepper powder, and chicken broth.
- Mix well until all the chicken broth is absorbed by the minced pork, then add sesame oil.
- Prepare 12 large pieces of Napa Cabbage, set aside.
- Boil a pot of water, add salt and oil, then add the Napa cabbage leaves and cook for 30-45 seconds.
- Remove the Napa cabbage leaves from the pot and place them in ice water for 10-15 minutes.
- Cut the white portion of the Napa cabbage leaves out.
- Put 2 Tbsp of minced pork in the middle of the Napa cabbage leave, then roll it. Close both ends by pushing the leaves below the roll.
- Place the wrapped cabbage rolls on a plate and steam over high heat for 15 minutes.
- Place the cabbage rolls on a serving plate.
- In a cooking pan over medium heat, add the remaining juice left from the steamer plate, water, salt, pepper, and oyster sauce.
- Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce.
- Pour the sauce on top of the cabbage rolls.
- Serve hot and enjoy your Minced Pork Cabbage Rolls!
