How to use the headphones with the violin?

Hi All,
I am new to the electronic music.
2 weeks ago I bought one violin Yamaha yev 105. Part of the purchase was to practice it with headphone and living a house sounds free for the other people.
I bought also the headphones but the sound stays on the violin.
Does anyone know how to makes the headphones working?
Do I need an amplifier? Is there anything small and portable in the case?
