Jangjorim - Korean Soy Braised Beef (Modified)
- Prepare 1.5 pounds of round steak, cut into 2 inches chucks.
- Put beef in a large bowl of cold water for an hour, change the water and rinse the beef for a couple of time
- Boil a large pot of hot water. Add beef cook for 10 minutes, then rinse it with cold water. Set aside
- Mix 6 Tbsp of soy sauce, 2 Tbsp of cooking wine, 3 Tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp of black pepper and 3 cups of water into a cooking pot
- Medium heat the cooking pot. Add half white onion, 8 cloves of garlic, 3 large slices of gingers until boil.
- Add beef, then turn to medium low heat. Close the lid cook for 20 minutes.
- Add 6 hard boiled eggs, then continue cook for another 20 minutes.
- Once cooked, let the beef sit to cool off, then shredded to small pieces
- Cut eggs in half, ready to serve
