LETTER FROM LOKOMAIKAIKEAKUA

(aka SHAUNA SKYE ... Hey, a girl has a right to use her Hawaiian name once in a while!)

Hi gang. Our next issue is dedicated to Cornerstone Fest. I have fellow writers covering this huge event with me for TNG, so it should be good.

Last time I went to C-Stone I ruined my shoes within five minutes of being there. I walked barefoot the rest of the festival. My tent was hot as a sauna, and at 7:00 AM I punched out several women lined up for the shower. Hey, that's the only way to be first in line! OK, I didn't do that, but I did get up before the rooster to line up for it, since I am fond of soap and water.

Of course getting to meet so many people and seeing great bands makes up for the humidity and lack of air conditioning. Having a nifty press pass makes it even better, unless you happen to drop the pass into a porto toilet by accident. Don't ask.

Anyway, I'll be at C-Stone. If you want to meet me, just look for a young woman about 5'6" with long brown hair and blue eyes. That narrows things down, I'm sure. (haha)

OK then, enough talk. Here's the latest issue of TNG.

Thanks for the TNG. However, if I may venture an opinion, I think it's a mistake to have only AOL people view your pictures. AOL is big but it is not the whole world!

I am on Charter@home via cable which runs 100 times faster than the usual phone modem. And I can get pictures all over the web. But not from you?! Come on.... Not everyone likes AOL. I have heard far more complaints than accolades.

Anyway, keep up the good work. So there.

I would LOVE to have non-AOL people see the colors and pictures in TNG. I am constantly moaning about the fact that my friends miss the groovy rainbow background. However, I have no means to give anyone but AOL members colors and pictures. This has to do with AOL's email program, not my choice.

A word of comfort to those who can't see the rainbow: I never plan to rely on the pictures and colors to make TNG interesting. The content within -- yep, the text itself, is what makes TNG . . . well, TNG! An added bonus of not having AOL 4.0 is that you can use your imagination when I say things like ["A picture of a pink elephant goes here."] The imagination is almost always better than the real thing. Trust me on this.

Actually, right after I got this, the lead guitar player for the band I'm in sent an email almost exactly like Scott's. Coincidence? Mysteries of the unknown? Not sure, but I'm thrilled. You people are neat. You are all ze gentleman and ze scholars ... or some ting like dat.
