Lucent On-line Newsletter Vol. 2-3
Welcome to another interesting Lucent news letter. We have all kinds of new information and goodies for you. If you would like to be taken off our mailing list, please feel free to email us at lucentweb@aol.com with "Remove from mailing list" as the subject. If you got this news letter from one of your local Christian book stores and would like it mailed to you, Please respond to us with your address at one of our contact numbers at the bottom of this news letter. The Lord is doing a number of works in this ministry. We want you to be involved! You know we need financial support; every ministry does. What we feel is most important is a strong network of prayer partners. Every Monday night at 7:00 some of the Thunder Ministries INC. associates, and members from Angels Crossing Church, meet at Hope Community Church for a prayer meeting. They pray over issues of the church, Lucent, and prayer requests given to Lucent via phone, or Internet. Make the commitment today to have us added to your churches prayer list or to spend a few minutes in your prayer closet with us on Monday nights. Contact us with praise reports or prayer needs. Our vision is to have prayer partners go into the areas we will be doing concerts at a few days before us to do intercessory prayer. Are you interested? Let us know. Wedding Fever !!!!!
Congratulations to three members of Lucent who will be getting married this month. First off Randy Kauffman, and Sabrina Pumphrey was married on March 7th. Randy Kauffman is our stage lights manager. He is always behind the scenes, but on occasion we make him get up and announce our sales tables and other material before concerts. Randy makes sure we have all the lighting for the stage just perfect at every concert. He also bears the burden of running the lights during the show. He married Sabrina Pumphrey, our sound lady. Sabrina has ran sound for Lucent as long as I can remember. She makes sure you can hear us, and does an excellent job at it. We are honored to have Sabrina helping our ministry. She definitely has a God given talent to run sound. All of us want both of you to know how much we appreciate your help. You guys are the best!
Ivan Dale, singer and songwriter for lucent will be marrying Aimee Dement on March 21st. If you have seen Lucent you know Ivan, he's the retro wanna be. Let me put it this way, when disco fades out, he will be the only faithful fan standing in a crowd screaming, DISCO'S MAKING A COME BACK!!!!!!!
If you have any suggestions or if you would like to send a wedding gift. Mail it to us at our P.O. Box, or email us with any comments for the young couples about to experience one of the holiest institutions created by God, Marriage!
In fact we are running a contest. Let us know your funniest wedding story and you win. It's that easy. What can I win you may ask? You will win a free-autographed 8X10 of the group. The contest is open to anyone and entries can be received by email or mailed to our P. O. Box. The story doesn't have to be of your own wedding. Maybe it was a friend of yours; either way it will be considered a valid entry. Only one entry per person and overseas entries are valid. Be sure to put your full address and phone number you can be reached at incase you win. Contest ends April 20th, 1998.
UPCOMMING CONCERTS
Have we got some great news for you! First off we have been talking with Teen Mania Ministries. They are interested in having us do some of their upcoming Acquire the Fire conventions. Craig is talking to them and hopefully I can give you some confirmed concert dates by the next news letter.
Live in the state of Texas? Well it looks like we will be coming to your state soon. A concert promoter there has contacted us and we will be announcing the concert date soon. Texas get ready!
Close to Memphis, TN? Guess what, were going to invade your town also? A concert promoter has contacted us and Craig tells me the specific concert date will be announced soon. Be sure your on our mailing list either, snail-mail or by email so you know as soon as the concert dates are announced.
WEB PAGE UPDATES
Thank you to those of you who have been with us from the beginning. Just think of all the stuff that has happened since we started this news letter. Finally after tedious months of preparation, sound clips in Wav file format are accessible from the web site. Check them out and keep an eye open for updates to the Eclectic section of the site. Periodically we will replace the WAV files with different songs to give everyone a verity of our songs to listen to.
