You are reading the first issue of Lucents on-line news letter. We wanted to start off the letter by telling everyone a little about our ministry. LUCENT means to shine or to become a beacon that light shines through. A beacon, or vessel, that Christ can use to fulfill his purpose, is what our ministry wants to be.
As you already know we are a band and only play original Christian music. Thunder Ministries INC., is the parent ministry that is run by Lucent and members of "The Church" (An independent church located in Indiana). Thunder Ministries was formed to help support, run, and provide intercessory prayer for Lucent. UPDATE
JULY 4th & 5th
Chaumont, NY
On July 4th and 5th we performed at the Warriors Convention in Chaumont, New York. It was obvious to us God had great things planned considering how Satan attacked us before the concert.
On Thursday, July 3rd Scott Fraze (Lucent member) was driving the ministries van to Mike West's (Lucent member) house for minor travel preparations. As Scott was pulling out of an intersection he was hit on the rear drivers side of the van by someone driving a Ford Taurus. According to eye witnesses at the moment of impact the van was forced into the air and spun 180 degrees on the two front tires. Praise the Lord neither Scott or the driver of the other car was injured. Not even a scratch. The van was not so lucky. We are still waiting to hear from the insurance company. Please keep this matter in your prayers. God has provided the opportunity for us to purchase a touring bus. The bus would be a great blessing considering every time we travel at least six to seven people are on the road. We are in need of $12,500.00 for the bus. Please pray for us that we would make wise decisions on this issue and as you could imagine, we can't do this on our own.
Even with the devil trying to stop us we made it to the concert on time. Over a two night revival sixty-five (65) people gave their lives to the Lord. We saw people get delivered of sickness, and as usual, the devil lost!!!!!!!!!!!
