Sweet and Sour Shrimp Balls 甜酸蝦球
- Peeled and devein 10 oz of shrimp.
- Ground shrimp with 3 oz of water chestnut, then add half tsp of salt, 1 Tbsp of rice wine, 2 egg white and 1 Tbsp of cornstarch
- Mix well and let it sit in the refrigerator uncover for few hours
- Medium heat cooking pot with half full of oil
- Deep fry shrimp in ball shape once the oil is hot, take the shrimp balls out after it turns golden brown (4-6 minutes)
- Mix 1 Tbsp of tomato sauce (Ketchup), 1 Tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp of vinegar, 1 tsp of rice wine, 3 Tbsp of water
- Heat the sauce in cooking pot, add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce
- Pour the sweet and sour sauce on top of the shrimp balls. Ready to serve
