I'm using the Emerald windows manager (Beryl), with the 'Solid State Modified' theme. It's available in the emerald-themes package. Other than that, I haven't gotten into widgets yet, but after reading fullcircle issue #2, I might try some out later this week.
I use GNOME, but I set my task bars to have an opacity of around 60%, with a black fill-in. Other than that, it's just standard settings. I'm still fairly new to Linux, having been using Ubuntu for about three to four months with Windows as a dual-boot option, but I'm pretty convinced that once Gutsy comes out I'll be reformatting. Recently I haven't had to switch to Windows at all. My favourite taskbar mini-programs are system monitor, where I have my CPU, Network, and Disk Usage graphs, and the weather for my area.
