Full Circle Issue 3
Editorial
Welcome to another feature packed issue of Full Circle. This month Robert (mrmonday) has taken the rather unusual step of giving you an Alternate Disc install. While not as pretty as a graphical install it is an excellent way to install Ubuntu on that old desktop machine you're using as a footrest.
We also have several articles on Ubuntu eyecandy. We tell you how to get some wobbly window goodness and preview just a couple of the new effects that are in Compiz Fusion. Compiz what? Yes, that's right, Compiz Fusion. Incase you've been living under a rock for the past several months: Compiz and Beryl are a couple, they were married a short while ago but already they've given birth to their first child: Compiz Fusion.
You may also notice that there is no news in this issue. I decided to remove the news section since we have to add the news approximately two weeks before release so by the time you get your download, the news is old and then I get emails from people who think we purposely use two week old news. While trawling the goodness that is the Ubuntu Help site (http://help.ubuntu.com) you may notice some of our articles popping up. The Ubuntu Documentation Team have asked if we could include some of our more helpful articles in the Ubuntu Documentation and we're delighted to help them out in any way we can. Speaking of which: they're always looking for volunteers to help edit the Documentation so feel free to sign up to LaunchPad and offer your services!
I hope you enjoy the magazine and keep those emails coming!
All the best,
Ronnie
