When I got it, it was a low-end PC which really wasn't - and still isn't - great at playing games. But what makes it special to me is that it was the first computer that I built myself, around 3 years ago. When you build your own PC there are all the problems, like the fan not fitting next to the whopper graphics card, but in the end it is much more satisfactory, not to mention cheaper! I guess I like comparing it to Dell's and appreciating how much nicer a custom built PC looks with all the glowing and the shinyness.
It's currently quad-booting (yes quad-booting) Windows XP, Ubuntu 7.04, Fedora 7 and Windows Vista (which I won in a competition, otherwise it wouldn't be on there). I use windows for any games that don't run in wine, but apart from that it's Linux all the way. Luckily all parts of my PC work in Ubuntu and Fedora just fine.
