Call for papers
After the release of our first issue and the good reception from the community, we, from The Bug! Magazine team, would like to count, once again, with everyone's support. The release of the next issue is scheduled for mid-October 2006. Until then we will be open to suggestions and we would like to count on the participation of the community and of people who have something interesting to add to the magazine.
Preference will be given to articles related to the following topics:
- General system exploitation techniques and shellcoding
- Phone phreaking and subversion of the phone system
- Hardware hacking, embedded systems and electronic devices
- Mobile devices exploitation, Symbian, P2K and bluetooth technologies
- Analysis of viruses, worms and other types of malware
- Security in Wi-Fi and VoIP environments
- Information about smartcard security
- Technical approach to alternative operating systems
- Denial of service attacks and/or countermeasures
- Techniques for creating secure software and systems
- Cryptography
- Internet, privacy and Big Brother
- Journalistic, informative and historical texts about hacking in general
- Other interesting topics, even if not previously referenced
Some information regarding the template of the articles can be found further down in this editorial. The following template is based on the Phrack model and aims to maintain an acceptable standardization, bringing the reader a certain comfort in relation to aesthetics and ease of viewing.
Template for the Articles
- Each line should contain a maximum of 79 characters;
- Articles should be written in ASCII text format;
- A previous spelling check should be done before submitting the article;
- Accentuation and other special characters should be disregarded;
- Avoid the use of chat room expressions and derivatives;
- A summary of the article should be sent to the journal's editorial office;
- Articles should contain a table of contents section, introduction, development and conclusion (with references, if any);
- The texts can be written in Portuguese or English.

Contributions such as articles, ideas, criticisms and suggestions will be welcome. Possible suggestions can be sent to the contact addresses of the journal staff.
