Steamed Chicken in Lotus Leaves 荷葉蒸雞
- Marinate half chicken with 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp of minced ginger, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of white pepper powder and 1 Tbsp of sesame oil overnight
- Soak 2 large lotus leaves in water until soft, set aside
- Brush a layer of oil on top of lotus leaves, then wrap chicken inside
- Steam the chicken for 50 minutes
- Unwrap the chicken. Either hand-pull or cut in pieces. Ready to serve
