Kyò Kara Ore Wa!!
Hello all my avid readers. Already I see you all there "eager" to read another fabulous review.
Today I "dust off", so to speak, OAVs that have already been released for a long time that perhaps do not need advertising because they have been available on the market for a while.
Well, well, today I propose what, in my opinion, is the funniest OAV series of recent years: "Kyò Kara Ore Wa !!".
This series of 10 episodes (of varying length) tells the story of two high school students, Mitsuhashi and Ito, who, having recently moved to Tokyo (and where else?) decide to change their lives by becoming two "thugs". To achieve this, what do they decide to do first? Well, of course, even Goku gets there without becoming a 3 level Super Saiyan: they change the hairstyle! And then we see a very oxygenated Mitsuhashi and a new "hedgehog" Ito, struggling with punches, blows, fights and ... oh yes, even love!
Despite the undeniable amount of violence (which is rendered in the most ridiculous possible way) the various episodes offer the viewer plenty of laughter, not only for the absurd situations but also for the funny faces and the characters who, after all, are not as "bad" and "hard" as they want you to believe!
There is also another character who from the very first OAV shows off for the considerable amount of bad luck: Kazutishi Imai, the head of the Benin high school gang.
Like it or not, despite his size he is beaten a lot, always mocked by Mitsuhashi, who is the real "evil" in the series. So I feel in solidarity with Himay, as I too am being persecuted by my companions!
You know how obsessed I am with dubbing, right? Well, I honestly think that you have often seen how excellent Japanese OAVs are "brutalized" by unsuitable or inexperienced voice actors; in the case of comic works (like this one), the problem is even more critical, as the versatility of Japanese voice actors is unparalleled! In fact, they go from serious to ridiculous tones with naturalness and disarming simplicity. Having said that, I can say that the work done in this regard by Yamato's voice actors in Italy is exemplary! The voices are beautiful and adapt to the faces of the various Ito, Imai and Mitsuhashi in a way that is nothing short of perfect. Good, good and still very good!
Um ... last note before wrapping up. These OAVs despite the comic key possess a remarkable characterization of the characters; if Mitsuashi is cynical and bastard (at least at the beginning), he will be able to prove himself a good friend on more than one occasion, and so Ito too will not fail to be noticed for his courage and loyalty.
Ultimately I highly recommend this series if you think that after City Hunter, Doctor Slump and Arale ... you couldn't have laughed more; or if you are fed up with Sailor Moon, etc. this is the series for you !!!
Ahhhh, this OAV has to be listen at full volume (I would dare to say at volume 'outrageously excessive', almost to 'waves').
The ending theme is ... veeeeery Tribal!
