Braised Pork Ribs 紅燒排骨
Braised Pork Ribs 紅燒排骨
- Add 2 pounds of pork ribs with 2 slices of gingers, few scallions and 1 Tbsp of cooking in a large pot of water
- Boil the water to high heat for 5 minutes
- Rinse the ribs in cold water
- Low heat cooking pan with 1 Tbsp of oil, then add 2.5 Tbsp of sugar slow cook the sugar turn red color
- Add pork ribs and turn to medium heat
- Mix the ribs with the sugar to have a nice coating
- Add 2 Tbsp of soy sauce, 3 star anise, 3 slices of gingers, 1 Tbsp of peppercorns, 3 bay leaves and 1 cinnamon stick, then add 1.5 cup of water
- Add salt if needed.
- Medium low heat cook for 45 minutes, then high heat to dry up the sauce.
- Add 1 tsp of sesame oil and sprinkle chopped scallions on the top. Ready to serve
