Sautéed Leeks with Chinese Bacon (Lap Yuk 臘肉)
- Prepare 3 leeks by chop off the root tips and green leaves portions, cut leeks from 45 degree angle about half an inch thick. Set aside
- Cut half red bell pepper in strips, set aside
- Soak Lap Yuk in cold water for few hours, wash and rinse it
- High heat steam the Lap Yuk for 10 minutes, remove the excessive oil
- Cut Lap Yuk into slices, set aside
- Medium heat cooking pan with 1 Tbsp of oil and 3 cloves of garlic
- Add cut leeks stir-fry for few minutes
- Add cut Lap Yuk and red bell pepper, then add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, pinch of white pepper powder, 1 tsp go sugar and 1 Tbsp of cooking wine
- Continue stir-fry for few more minutes
- Add 1 tsp of sesame oil, ready to serve
