GARLIC CHICKEN
GARLIC CHICKEN
- Boneless Chicken - ½ kg (cut to cubes)
- Plain flour (maida) - ½ cup
- Corn flour - ¼ cup
- Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Pepper pwd - 1 tsp
- Egg - 1
- Salt - to taste
Method
- Mix all the above ingredients except chicken to make a semi thick batter adding very little water if required. Marinate the chicken in this batter and refrigerate it for about 2 - 3 hours (preferably overnight).
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken pieces on medium low flame till the chicken is done and it turns light golden brown color.
OTHER INGREDIENTS
- Garlic (chopped) - 2 tbsp
- Spring onion - 1 tbsp
- Onion - 2 (diced)
- Capsicum - 1 (diced)
- Green chili - 1
- Red chili pwd - ¼ tsp
- Pepper pwd - 1 ½ tsp
- Soy sauce - 1 ½ tsp
- Water - 1 ½ cup
- Corn flour - 2 tbsp + water- ¼ cup (mix it)
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 3 tbsp
Method
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and spring onion to it and saute for few seconds. To this add onion, capsicum and green chili and saute on medium high flame for about 2 - 3 minutes.
- To this add red chili pwd and pepper pwd and saute till it oil appears. Add soy sauce to this and salt and mix well.
- Add 1 ½ cup of water to this and bring to boil. Now add the corn flour mix stirring continuously. When it starts to boil again, reduce the flame and add the fried chicken.
- Let it cook for another 3 - 4 minutes and remove from flame. Serve hot.
