Braised Pork Ribs
- Prepare 4 pounds of Country-Style pork ribs
- Medium high heat cooking pot with 1 Tbsp of oil, add pork ribs sear the meat to golden brown on all sides
- Add 2 Tbsp of soy sauce, 2.5 Tbsp of sugar, 2 Tbsp of cooking wine, 1 tsp of dark soy sauce, 3 large slices of gingers, 5 star anises, 1 Tbsp of peppercorns, 4 bay leaves, 1 small cinnamon stick, 1 tsp of salt and 2 cups of water
- Close the lid turn to low heat simmer for an hour (flip the ribs over half way)
- Let the ribs sit in the cooking pot for another 20 minutes before place on serving plate
- Turn high heat to thicken the sauce, pour the sauce on top of the ribs, ready to serve
