Braised Beef Short Ribs 紅燒牛排
- Prepare 2 pounds of beef short ribs
- Medium high heat cooking pot with 1 Tbsp of oil, add beef short ribs sear the meat to golden brown on all sides
- Add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1.5 Tbsp of sugar, 1 Tbsp of cooking wine, 1 tsp of dark soy sauce, 3 large slices of gingers, 4 star anises, 1 Tbsp of peppercorns, 3 bay leaves, 1 small cinnamon stick and 2 cups of water
- Close the lid turn to low heat simmer for an hour (flip the ribs over half way)
