Steamed Garlic Shrimp with Cellophane noodles 蒜蓉粉絲蒸蝦
- Butterfly 16 pieces of jumbo shrimp - make a top slit across the back of shrimp all the way to the end of the tail, and discard the black veins
- Soak 2 package of cellophane noodles in water until soft, set aside
- Cut 3-4 fresh red chili peppers and 1 scallion into small pieces, set aside
- Low heat cooking pan with 2 Tbsp of oil, then add 2 Tbsp of minced garlic, slow cook garlic in hot oil for a minute, set aside
- Place the cellophane noodles on bottom of a serving plate, then put the shrimp on the top
- Add the garlic and oil on top of the shrimp, then sprinkle the cut red chili pepper
- High heat steam the shrimp and noodles for 12 minutes
- Medium heat cooking pan, add 1 tsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of sugar, pinch of white pepper powder, half cup of chicken broth. Once the sauce boil, add on top of the shrimp
- Sprinkle the cut scallions and ready to serve
