Joey was born 25 years ago in a remote village of the Wild West: his father could be anyone, in fact his mother was a woman of very easy morals. His mother, on the other hand, had died during childbirth due to the too much violence with which he had decided to come into the world. He, however, had grown up very well by himself, from the earliest years of his life: the name Joey had chosen himself at the age of 7, baptizing himself with a mug of beer (his first hangover... good times... ). They gave him the nickname Tamburo when he was 15, because the drum was the only thing he could hit without screaming for mercy. He had arrived in the Pimpas desert at the age of twenty and by now he felt that he had adopted that place. Everyone feared him and respected him, because he was really tough, almost as hard as that redwood he had kicked at so many years ago, smashing his foot: unfortunately that day he had put his lenses upside down and it looked like a twig. When he went into the saloon and the man at the counter asked him what he was getting, he immediately said to the others in the room: "Guess!". And whoever did not guess went home on four legs, those of the two who were holding him.

That morning it was the turn of another guy, also very tough, Franco Zaff, so nicknamed because of the whiffs of "natural aromas" that his armpits emanated after a fight. Coming out of the saloon, Franco replied: "This place is getting too small for both of us!", With the meanest face he could, so not much. Anyway, Joey didn't like that phrase at all, also because he lived in a 30 square meter shack, so if the desert was that big everything else was up to Franco, and it didn't seem right at all. That is why, as Franco was leaving, Joey had yelled at him: "I'll wait for you tonight, at sunset, under the oak tree next to Uncle Tom's hut. And not to see the stamp collection!".

Sure, Franco was tough as there were few around, but he was sick of his bullying. A bully in that place was enough and advanced, and he had the rights to be.

So, that evening after a dinner and a film of the old ones, 60s (1260), he went to the oak where the destiny of the human people would be decided, as well as that of him and Franco. Along the way, I meet two bad guys: one of them said to the other: "Hey, Jim, are you capable of sucking a Fruit Joey without chewing it? Ahh, ahh, ahh ...". And the other: "Hey, Jim, this is good. Ahh, ahh, ahh ...". They were the two Jim brothers, two braggart who enjoyed teasing anyone who passed. Joey usually gave in to provocation: this time, in a hurry, he made no exception. So he took them both and chewed them: without sucking them.

A quarter of an hour later he was under the oak: Franco was already there. The difference between the two was incredible. Franco armed to the teeth (in fact, in addition to the rest, he also had a gun in his mouth): Joey only had a miserable salt-loaded pistol. They approached and spat into each other's hands (each in the other's), then, as they had decided, they turned and took ten steps, five hopping on the right foot and five on the left. Then they would say aloud: "Thirty-three thirty-three trotters in Trento, all thirty-three trotting". but Franco, with the gun in his mouth, could not say it, so, as soon as he finished, Joey turned and killed him with a blow to the skull.

But how, you might say, did he kill him with a single shot from a salt pistol? Well, man, but he was rock salt ...
