Picture this. You're surrounded by your friends and the latest Master
P video is just gettin over, an as you resume kickin it wit your "posse" and
you start joshin each other about who's the toughest... You hear everyone on
tv and around spout out the mouth bout how they keepin it real, and then the
moment of truth, you open your mouth and are about to utter the well-used
phrase "keepin it real." STOP. Just wait and think about the implications
of what you sayin.
Keepin it real. It would connotate that you are continuing the act
of being real. Now what is the real in keeping it real?
First off, if you haven't been arrested (no speeding/parking/drinkin
tickets), I mean really arrested, then you can at the moment of truth bow
your head an look at the ground cause you have no idea what real is. As my
guy Henry David Thoreau stated, "Under a government which imprisons any
unjustly, the true place for a just man is also prison". So hrmm let me
see, that done knocked about 85% of you out of the running. I say this
because you really don't understand how the world REALLY works until you are
taken into custody.
Do you even know how the legal system works or how it tie in with the
rest of they plan? Well let me sit ya down and spit this here to you. To
start, why do you think in many cases, possession of a smaller amount of a
drug is far more punitive then being a really big dealer? Easy in order to
stay in power. And I'm speaking only on the American government -- they
make such relatively small amounts felonies.
A felony on your record don't hurt that much do it? Wrong with that.
Your right to vote is gone. SO do the math: if one was wanting to stay in
control, one would simply find a legal way to cut them off at the pass so to
speak. You know they can, under federal law, put you to death for non-
violent crimes? Didn't think so.
Open your mind. Money run this shit, quite simply. You think all
these different peoples with a lot of money want to keep that money and make
more? To think there is not a conspiracy is just stupidity. The Illumanti
is real. You think they just get lucky an start big corporations, boards,
and government parties all by one's self? Nah, a group of them got together
and flipped that shit like a million times and are now proceeeding to run
shit because your simple mind doesnt allow you to see the real deal. See,
this is getting easier and easier.
Now if you have never been in a fight, (winning or losing really
doesn't matter), but if you haven't, you ain't real. Why, you ask? When
you decide to break out your fists or whatever weapon you have handy in an
attempt to really show where you say you stand, not where the hommie think
you stand, you real, you follow? If not, too bad, I'm not a fucking
babysitter. I'm not saying you gotta be a boxer or anything: why pick a
fight? You have something you need to prove to yourself or someone else?
Get the point?
Moving right along now. I ask a well pondered question: Why niggas
just don't wanna play they part? And by that I mean, if you a ho, nigga
then be a ho. Ain't no need to be woofin some bullshit bout how you hard
and what not. Basically get in where you fit in. As Benjamin Franklin put
it, "Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little
temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Meaning more or
less, don't be scurry. Stand your ground.
Why try to be something or someone that you are not? What's the
logic? I think to be yourself is the most valuable thing because after all,
ain't nobody else that can be you. Besides game, recognize game so you
become very transparent so to speak.
But really in all honesty this writing is a response to a perceived
attack at me, mind you the shit was indirect and basically was innuendo.
But i ain't fitting to let that shit ride, just cause the hommie hasn't
enough nuts to say anything directly ain't mean ima just pretend he ain't
talkin about me. Now keeping it real as you put it has nothing to do with
the masculine image you tryin to present to the world. See, as you try to
present yourself to the world, i represent myself to the world. Now that's
real.
