Canh Chua Ca Salmon (Vietnamese sweet and sour soup with salmon)
Canh Chua Ca Salmon (Vietnamese sweet and sour soup with salmon)
- 2 lbs of salmon belly
- 4 shallots
- 1 teaspoon of chopped (garlic)
- Salt
- Back peppers
- 1 tablespoon of mushroom
- 1 lb of okra
- 1 Package of Elephant ears
- 1/4 of a pineapple, (thinly sliced)
- Cut tomatoes into a quarters
- 1 package of tamarind seasoning
Marinated the fish with all ingredients listed above for 1 hr. Turn the heat on med-high. Then pour 2 cartons of chicken broth (unsalted), into the pot. Bring it to boil. Skim all the foams developed. Add okra (cut in half), and then elephant ears, bean sprout, fried shallots, and fried garlic and rice paddy herb. Turn off the heat. There you have that of sweet and sour soup.
