Characteristic: "Size 19 cm. Its head, back,wings and tail are all yellowish green. Distinctive bright yellow streaks present at its forehead, cheeks, chin and upper throat. Lower throat is greyish grading to yellowish grey belly, with a conspicuous yellow under tail coverts."
Distribution: "China, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand and Indo-China."
Habitat: "Dry evergreen forest, dipterocarp forest, secondary growth and scrub forest."
Habit: "Found singly or in pairs on trees or shrubs, where they forage for insects, caterpillars and ripe fruits and berries. Nest is constructed at a fork of low bush, in which a female lays a normal clutch of 3-4 eggs."
Status: An uncommon resident bird.
