Sweet and Sour Pork Chops 京都豬扒
- Tenderize 2 bone-in pork chops by using mallet pounder on both sides
- Marinate pork chops by 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, half tsp of black pepper, 1 Tbsp of cornstarch and 1 Tbsp of oil for few hours
- Cut half yellow onion into strip, set aside
- Medium heat cooking pan with 2 Tbsp of oil
- Add pork chops cook each side around 4-5 minutes, take pork chops out set on serving plate
- Add cut onion into cooking pan quick stir-fry for a minute
- Add 1.5 Tbsp of ketchup/tomato sauce, 1.5 Tbsp of sugar, 1 Tbsp of rice vinegar and 4 Tbsp of water
- Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce
- Add 1 tsp of sesame oil, put the sauce on top of the pork chops. Sprinkle some chopped scallions and ready to serve
