Yoghurt Loaf
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour ( cake or all purpose)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter ( room temp)
- 1 cup plain yoghurt
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl add butter, sugar and oil . Mix until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla then mix in one egg at a time. Then add yoghurt and mix it in .
- Sift in flour, baking powder and salt . Mix just to combine the wet and dry ingredients together. Please don’t over mix.
- Pour the batter (mixture) in a prepared loaf tin.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170 Degrees Celsius for 35-40 minutes or until well baked (depending on your oven).
*If you are using salted butter don’t add salt .
*You can use any flavoured yoghurt if you don’t have plain yoghurt.
