Yoghurt Loaf

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour ( cake or all purpose)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter ( room temp)
  • 1 cup plain yoghurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl add butter, sugar and oil . Mix until light and fluffy.
  2. Add vanilla then mix in one egg at a time. Then add yoghurt and mix it in .
  3. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt . Mix just to combine the wet and dry ingredients together. Please don’t over mix.
  4. Pour the batter (mixture) in a prepared loaf tin.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 Degrees Celsius for 35-40 minutes or until well baked (depending on your oven).


*If you are using salted butter don’t add salt .
*You can use any flavoured yoghurt if you don’t have plain yoghurt.
