Tomato Beef with Rice (Hong Kong Style) 港式洋蔥番茄牛肉飯
- Marinate 6-8 oz of beef with 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of white pepper powder, 1 Tbsp of cornstarch mixed with 2 Tbsp of water and 1 Tbsp of oil for few hours
- Cut one yellow onion into strips. Set aside
- Cut 2 large tomatoes into chunks. Set aside
- Medium heat cooking pan with 1 Tbsp of oil and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic
- Add beef stir-fry cook to medium well (around 2 minutes). Take it out, set aside
- Add cut onion and tomatoes to the same cooking pan, cook for few minutes
- Add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 Tbsp of tomato sauce, 1 tsp of sugar, 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce and 2 Tbsp of chicken broth continue cook until tomatoes turn soft
- Add beef and cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce
- Pour the tomato beef on top of white rice, ready to serve.
