Tofu with egg and chives (Haiti)
Tofu with egg and chives.
Ingredients:
- Firm tofu (about 200 g) (cut into cubes)
- 100 g Chives (cut into evenly-sized pieces)
- 1 beaten egg
- Chopped red chilies
for the sauce:
- 2 tsp Minced garlic
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Chicken powder (optional)
Instructions:
- Pour the beaten egg over the tofu, gently mix until well- coated.
- Add cooking oil to your pan
- Add egg-tofu mixture to the pan, fry until golden brown, set aside
- Add a little more oil, minced garlic and chopped chili, fry until fragrant
- Add the sauce
- Add fried tofu back to the pan, cook until the sauce has evaporated
- Add the chives, stir for a few seconds
It’s ready to serve.
